5 Ways To Make the Most of Your Last Summer Friday

Summer is great for many reasons, but if you work in the corporate world “summer Fridays” definitely take the cake as the best. But the season is coming to an end and so are the beloved “get off early on Fridays”. Instead of wishing that summer would last a few months longer, make the most of your last few half days with some of Chicago’s best events and activities.


GERMAN-AMERICAN OKTOBERFEST: FRIDAY, SEPT. 6

Roast chicken, bratwurst and beer galore. Treat yourself to mouthwatering eats and traditional German singing and dancing at Chicago’s German-American Oktoberfest (Sept. 6-8). This year, the festivities kick off on Friday evening with a parade and all of the grub you could imagine.

MUSEUM FREE DAYS: ALL MONTH

Along with deep dish pizza, Chicago is known for its plethora of museums. From the Alder Planetarium to the Shedd Aquarium, learning about stars and mammals has never been more exciting—at least we think so.
